Uploading photos
Here at YardSaleItems.com we recommend a photo for every item sold because we think it's important for the buyer to actually see what they are buying. Listed below are some helpful tips about digital pictures.
1. Save the picture on your computer:
- Camera and Scanner
You can take a picture of your item(s) with a regular camera and then use a Scanner to scan the picture and save it to your computer.
- Regular Camera
Another way to get digital photos is to take a picture from a regular camera and have them developed onto a CD. Kodak will do this and possibly your pharmacy or local Walmart.
-Digital Camera
definitely the easiest way to get the best photo possible to your computer. Your camera should have instructions to get your pictures uploaded to your computer.
2. Edit the photo for best results:
Your scanner or digital camera usually comes with software that allows you to edit pictures. Follow the instructions to get the best possible photo possible, focusing on the product only and cropping out any unwanted areas. Using a white background like a poster board or bed sheet provides higher quality pictures. We only accept photos in "gif" or "jpeg" format and no larger than 600x400 pixels.
3. Upload it to us:
Now that you have edited and saved your photo you are ready to upload to us. Simply login and at the sell an item page fill out the item information and click the browse button to locate the saved image on your computer and click submit.
